The main difference between marzipan and almond paste is that almond paste is more often used as an ingredient or a filling while marzipan can be eaten as is. Marzipan is also used in candies or as a topping to a sweet dessert such as a cake. Our almond paste is thick and firm, but can be easily molded. Almond paste adds that perfect, nutty flavor and is much less sweet than marzipan as it typically has more sugar. It pairs very well with chocolate and fruity flavors. It is a great filling alternative in pastries and chocolates, and is often found in pies, cakes, croissants, breads, cookies, muffins and biscuits. Basically, the options are endless! It’s a great way to enrich some of your favorite recipes!
