Established 1929
Bedemco was founded in 1929 by the Demeshulam family, starting with a deep-rooted commitment to sourcing the finest agricultural products. For nearly a century, we have evolved while remaining steadfast in our dedication to transparency and quality.
Today, Bedemco is led by Daniel Demeshulam, President / CEO, Roy Demeshulam, Vice President, and Lianna Demeshulam, Vice President. As fourth-generation owners, they continue the Demeshulam family's commitment to quality, transparency, and long-term partnership.
Founded the company in Izmir, Turkey, transporting dried fruits and nuts to local markets by donkey cart, laying the foundation for what would become a global business.
Relocated the company to Haifa, Israel, expanding operations to include international shipments—primarily from Turkey. He built strong relationships with our original Turkish partners and played a key role in advancing their manufacturing capabilities and production capacity.
Brought the company to White Plains, NY, where he transformed the Turkish dried fruit and nut trade in the US, where he lived by the motto “Any dried fruit, nut, or seed, any way!”, he expanded the company’s vision into the broader world of ingredients.
